Growing up, everything I looked at I would imagine how I would draw it. I thought everyone looked at things that way. When I finally brought pen to paper, I realized that I'd been seeing my passion for art etched before my eyes for as long as I could remember.
I started in the world of colored pencil and have dabbled in different mediums along my journey. Recently, I dropped all ideas of perfection and consequently: color. Through the simplicity of pen, I've explored space in the metaphysical and physical realms. The minimalism of pen also inspired my black-paint murals. I love open spaces left to the imagination to fill.
I find an abundance of inspiration in meditation. Whether it's silent, guided, or subconscious journeying, if my vessel is open, the visions flow. Sometimes the art images come to me without reason, and the meanings reveal themselves to me in time. This surrender to meaning makes for the most exciting pursuits.
